General Tips

Part of our goal in this league is to help the youngsters develop their skills.  Some just want to develop them well enough to participate (which is fine), while others take a more serious approach to the game.  If you are seeking to become a proficient ballplayer playing in our scheduled games and practices is really not enough to truly hone your skills.  You should be seeking to do things on your own as well.  This does not have to include complicated drills.  The simple habit of trying to play 5-15 minutes of catch on a regular basis will go a long ways toward a 6-12 year old becoming very comfortable with the ball (which is a large part of the game at this level).  The best players are not as good as they are by accident.  A good axiom in baseball, as well as life, is "you get out of it what you put into it."
